I have to say that this is a tough one! I find new favorites every year! This year I hope that you will read I WANNA IGUANA if you haven’t already. And every year I reread an old favorite, Where the Wild Things Are. I also read Meet the Wild Boars to most of the classes that have stopped in the library… for several reasons!

I like the Arthur books in the everybody part of the library. Arthur is funny and he is always getting in trouble with somebody.

We read Arthur’s Valentine today. There are lots of Arthur books, my favorite one is about his lost library book.

The book My Penguin Osbert made me hungry for chocolate chip waffles but not for cold fish. I learned to be a responsible pet owner might be difficult especially if you ask for a penguin for Christmas. Sometimes making a pet happy is tough work like sitting in a cold bathtub full of little bars of soap.

Mrs. Smiths Incredible Storybook was good it made me think of getting an apple from the cafeteria. I like it because the way it described the story. And if I ever get a dragon or a bear I will make sure to take care of it.

I read the book called I can Lick 30 Tigers today. It was a very funny Dr. Seuss book and it had good words in it.Some were so hard my mom and I could not even read them correctly. We had to pronounce them it felt so weird I felt like I was a little kid.It was funny because he said he can lick 30 tigers but he went down to one.

I read the book called How the Grinch Stole Christmas because it is close to the movie. I like how the illustrations and I love Dr. Suess books. My favorite part was when the Grinch starts to fall back in love with Christmas.

I loved reading My Penguin Osbert with many classes last week! Don’t forget that we are getting the sequel soon, My Penguin Osbert in Love. We have lots of great fiction and nonfiction on penguins… tons to choose from!
